Tunbridge Wells is a famous spa town dating back to early Georgian times. Today the town boasts the best of traditional as well as modern in terms of amenities, living, travel and entertainment. London is just 30 miles distant, with direct services to Charing Cross, London Bridge and Cannon Street with a journey time of 45 minutes. Bus routes radiate to outlying villages and towns and operate on a regular and reliable basis.

By road the south coast towns of Brighton A26, Eastbourne A267 and Hastings A21 are all less than an hour away and Gatwick is less than 30 minutes via the A264.

Tunbridge Wells with its excellent choice of schools has been named an “Educational Super Town” sharing this accolade with towns such as Harrogate, Bath and Winchester.

Hospital

A new hospital is opening its wards from the beginning of 2011 on the outskirts of the town. Pembury hospital is a 512 bed, 10 ward construction that will be the best hospital in Kent.

Shopping in Tunbridge Wells is a delight as choice is the main theme from the range of shops available. From department stores through to bijou boutiques, there is something for everyone. Both the Assembly Hall and Trinity Theatre offer a diverse range of stage productions and live groups, often as part of a UK national tour, from Shakespeare to Ayckbourn, and Brahms to Mumford & Sons. The choice is eclectic.
